J.C. Rasco, age 82, passed away on June 4, 2011. A life-long resident of Shelby County, he was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Sarah, his parents, Calvin and Doris Rasco, and his brother, Don Rasco. He is survived by his daughter, Joan Chandler (Mac), son, Russell (Dawn), and three granddaughters, Bari, Lauren and Jessica Rasco.

Mr. Rasco retired from Kimberly Clark Corp. after 42 years of service. The family would like to thank all of his wonderful caregivers, especially Casey Harvell and Selena Martin at Ridge View Assisted Living, and the nurses of Family Comfort Hospice.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 7 at 10 a.m. at Bolton Funeral Home in Columbiana, with services immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Pinelawn Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
