Two dead from shooting in Vandiver

VANDIVER – Two people have died from a shooting in Vandiver, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies received a report of a person shot in the 100 block of Cripple Creek Lane around 6 p.m. June 12. Upon responding, deputies found that not one, but two, people had been shot at the location. Both were dead.
Investigators have been on the scene, and do not believe any suspects are at large in the shooting.
According to the sheriff’s office release, nothing has been ruled out, but Sheriff Chris Curry does not believe the public is at any risk.
Investigators will continue to work throughout the night.
The victims will not be identified until their families are notified.
The Vandiver Fire Department also responded to the scene.
