Graham Reilly, a 2011 honors graduate from Pelham High School, was named as the recipient of the Alabama Sports Writers Association Scholarship at the ASWA’s annual awards banquet June 12.

The awards banquet at the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel was part of the ASWA’s 40th Convention. The ASWA Scholarship is presented each year to the child or grandchild of a member of the organization.

Graham is the son of Norm and Leslie Reilly of Pelham.  He will attend Louisiana State University where he will be a freshman this fall semester. He plans to major in business with an emphasis in sport management.

While a student at PHS, Graham was a member of the National Honor Society, French Honor Society and the English Honor Society.  Athletically, he was a member of the Panthers’ basketball program all four years and played point guard on the varsity team as a junior and senior.
