In the heart of Harpersville sits Russell Building Supply. For the past three years, it has been known as Russell Building Supply, but for 20 years before that, it was Holcomb Home Center.

It was a family business for more than 20 years and a generation of the Holcombs still work at Russell Building Supply.

Russell Building Supply employs approximately 10 individuals in the Harpersville community to date. They sell everything from fertilizers, turf builder, charcoal, woods, paints, keys and just about anything that you might need for those “honey do lists” that we all have in our daily lives.

Alicia Holcomb, granddaughter of the father-and -son founders of Holcomb Home Center, Howard and Johnny Holcomb, still works at Russell Building Supply and it still has that “hometown family feeling” when you visit the building supply company.

Russell Building Supply serves the Harpersville community in numerous ways. Each year the company gives various donations to community efforts and often sponsors local schools and organizations.

Russell Building Supply will be holding a customer appreciation day this month, so be looking forward to this special event.
