Vera L. Ellison, age 86, a resident of Calera, died on Thursday, July 14, 2011. Funeral service was at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Bolton Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Earnest officiating. Burial followed in Midway Cemetery, Jemison. The family received friends from 12:30-2 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Bolton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ellison was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Ellison is preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Ellison. Mrs. Ellison is survived by her daughters, Betty Mitchell and Marie Gay (Tommy); son, Eddie Ellison; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Homer White, Ray White, Gene White, Billy White and Larry White; and numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
