The Alabama Highway Patrol has released the name of the person killed in a car accident Monday on U.S. 280.

Arlen Williams, 26, of Alexander City, was killed in the accident, which happened about 1:30 p.m. near Willow Leaf Road, according to a highway patrol spokesman.
