MONTEVALLO – The University of Montevallo will hold a memorial service to celebrate the life of Cynthia Shackelford, who passed away July 27.

The service will be held Aug. 3 at 3 p.m. in Palmer Hall at the university. All members of the Montevallo community are invited to attend. A reception will follow for attendees to share memories and stories of Shackelford.

The funeral will be held at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church Saturday, Aug. 6, at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cynthia K. Shackelford Memorial Scholarship Fund, University of Montevallo, Station 6220, Montevallo, AL 35115.
