Calera

Lewis Randall Knowles of Calera passed away Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011. He was 72 years old and is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alice Carroll Knowles; his three daughters, Donna Knowles Larimer, Allison Knowles Spain and Ginger Knowles; one grandson, Joshua Larimer. He has two brothers, three sisters and a host of nieces and nephews. He had lots of friends, and one in particular of 40 or more years, Mr. George Roy. Lewis thought a lot of him.

The family would like to thank Mrs. Donna Bailey. She has been an angel to us through this difficult time. We would also like to thank the people of the city of Calera. Lewis worked for 35 years for Mosher Steel/Ingalls Ironworks. He also worked 18 years for the City of Calera. He was a good husband and daddy.

He is loved and will be missed very much. He was buried at Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011. God Bless Him. Rockco Funeral Home, Montevallo directed.
