Gov. Robert Bentley will attend the 50th anniversary of Shelby County High School’s Class of 1961.

The Class of 1961 will be honored at the SCHS homecoming game versus Moody on Sept. 30.

A reception, which will be open to all SCHS classes, will follow the game in the recreation hall to honor the Class of 1961. Bentley, who was president of the student council, is expected to attend.

The theme is “Hey, Look Me Over,” a song the band played that year.

Randy McDonald, reunion chair for SCHS, is requesting donations of photos or memorabilia of SCHS homecoming, floats or activities from any former SCHS students.
