VINCENT – The Town of Vincent held a public meeting prior to the town council meeting on Aug. 16 to present the town’s updated subdivision regulations to residents.

The regulations had not been updated since 1999, said Kristine Goddard of the Shelby County Department of Development Services.

Goddard said the “biggest change” is that all subdivisions will be reviewed, but only those with more than five parcels of land or more will meet with the planning committee.

The updated regulations have been posted in Town Hall, the public library and other locations for public viewing.

For more information on the revised subdivision regulations, contact Town Hall at 672-2261.

During the Town Council meeting following the public meeting, the Town Council:

-Tabled the approval of the amendment to the subdivision regulations until the next meeting.

-Approved the bid made by Robert Granger Inc. to complete necessary road improvements on Autumn Drive. Cost will be about $414,000 for the project. The project is set to begin in the next 30 days.

-Approved the minutes of the previous Town Council meeting.
