State Sen. Slade Blackwell, R-Birmingham, will host a community meeting for Senate District 15, which includes part of Shelby County, on Aug. 23.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at the Leeds Civic Center in Leeds.

Blackwell will touch upon the Grants Mill Road bridge project, as well as other issues that affect District 15.

“I always enjoy community meetings in my district,” Blackwell said. “It’s a great way for all of us to work together on the issues that are important to us and to ultimately improve our communities and the state.”
