The Pelham High School volleyball team fell to Harrison High School (Ga.) in the semifinals of a tournament Aug. 27 at McGill-Toolen Catholic School in Mobile.

Pelham defeated Clay-Chalkville 28-26, 25-9 to reach the semifinals. The Panthers also defeated Daphne 26-24, 25-17 and Baker 25-20, 21-25, 15-10 in the tournament.

Pelham’s only other setback in the tournament came in a 16-25, 14-25 loss to host McGill-Toolen.

Senior Dana Allen led the Panthers (8-7) with 35 digs in the tournament. Allen also posted 28 assists.

Senior Sydney Days led Pelham with 97 assists. Senior Porsha Tolbert registered 32 digs in the tournament.
