FROM STAFF REPORTS

CALERA – Rush hour traffic has been slower than usual through Calera and Alabaster this morning due to a number of traffic signal outages.

As of 8:20 a.m., traffic signals were out from the 231 overpass to Highways 70 and 31, according to the Calera Police Department.

Traffic signals also were out along U.S. 31 in Alabaster, including at Interstate 65 and U.S. 31.

Residents also reported outages near Buck Creek Park.

Alabama Power crews are working this morning to restore power at all locations.

All traffic signals appear to be working as usual in Hoover. The Hoover Police Department said it was not aware of any major traffic signal outages in the city.
