Harrison 50th

Leslie and Tommie Harrison will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 7, 2011. The Harrisons were principals at Thompson Elementary and Creek View Elementary, and worked for many years in education.

“One of our greatest joys has been to stay in touch with our former students and parents,” Tommie Harrison said. “We often see former students when shopping, and they are surprised to see that ‘we are still kicking,’ and that we remember them, usually their names, too.”

A family celebration is planned at the couple’s Alabaster home, followed by a family gathering on the coast.
