Reverend and Mrs. William W. Rayfield of Harpersville celebrated 61 years of marriage on Sept. 2, 2011. To commemorate this occasion, the Rayfields spent four days in the Great Smoky Mountain area of Tennessee, a favorite destination of the family. William surprised his lovely bride of 61 years with a trip to Pigeon Forge. They stayed in the honeymoon/anniversary suite at The Inn at Christmas Place.

The Rayfields have four children, Preston and Kathy Rayfield of Columbiana, Sandra and Jim Rose of Birmingham, Penny Rayfield of Austin, Texas and Cindy Rayfield of Prattville. Grandchildren are Kris and Gene Saab of Birmingham, Ginger and Chris Fielding of Dallas, Ga., Brett Rayfield of Columbiana and Buckley Rose of Birmingham. The couple will be blessed with their first great-grandchild in April 2012. The happy couple looks forward to more years together.
