Thompson edges Briarwood Christian

The Thompson High School volleyball team defeated Briarwood Christian 25-18, 19-25, 25-22, 25-22 in high school volleyball action Sept. 15.

Jade Douglas led the Warriors with 15 kills in the victory.

Kelsea Bivins added 11 kills. Katie Guiser contributed eight kills and three blocks in the win.

Kasie Holcomb and Emily Cofer chipped in seven digs each. Sonia Acosta registered a team-high 28 assists in the match.

Logan Nasworthy led the Lions with 15 kills in the victory. Nasworthy also recorded seven digs and two service aces.

Lauren Palmer contributed six kills and one block. Madison Chambers finished with five kills.

Carly Cline posted three kills, three service aces and five digs. Adeline Reiser contributed one kill, one service ace and one block to go along with eight digs and a team-high 30 assists.

Lizzie Baumbach finished with nine digs and three service aces. Hope Donohue recorded six digs and four service aces in the match.
