FROM STAFF REPORTS

Last year, more than 50 Shelby County residents visited Mahan Creek Dental in Brierfield to participate a free day of dental extractions. On Sept. 23, Mahan Creek Dental is teaming up with Dentistry From The Heart again to offer the same service to anyone in need.

Anyone who is in pain from a bad tooth and needs relief from pain through extractions is invited to attend the event. The event will be first come, first serve, beginning at 7 p.m., with the last patient registration at 3 p.m. Six dentists and 12 assistants will volunteer their time to provide free dental care to “those who are in pain and need relief through extractions,” a press release from Mahan Creek Dental stated.

During last year’s event, Dr. Mike Mahan and his staff extracted 293 teeth from 152 patients. People began lining up in front of Mahan Creek Dental as early as 5:30 a.m.

The waiting area for the event is outside under tents, so dress appropriately for the weather. For more information contact, Mahan Creek Dental at 665-2723 or see search “Mahancreekdental” on Facebook.com.
