Hubert Leon Lucas Sr. 85, a resident of Wilton, passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2011. Mr. Lucas was preceded in death by his wife, Louise A. Lucas; brothers, Curtis, Ralph and Carl Lucas; and sister, Martha Ann Spain. He is survived by sons, Leon Lucas Jr. (Jenny) of Alabaster and John Lucas (Linda) of Calera; grandsons, Brian (Sherry), Kevin and Michael Lucas; and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Lucas.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge, Chapter 70, Montevallo for more than 50 years and a member of the Wilton City Council for 35 years plus. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, Sept. 27, 2011, from 6-8 a.m. at Wilton Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at the church Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Greg Sellers and Rev. Tom Hammett officiating. He will lie-in-state at the church one hour prior to the services. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at Montevallo City Cemetery.
