The Calera High School volleyball team swept a pair of matches with Hueytown and Hillcrest in high school volleyball action Sept. 29.

A’Kia Harris led the Eagles (21-10) with nine kills in a victory over Hillcrest. Harris also posted a team-high 20 digs in the win.

Caitlin Ryan contributed seven kills. Amber Sherman finished with five kills and 13 digs.

Elizabeth Rhinehart recorded 11 digs. Kellie Rasmussen registered four service aces and five digs to go along with a team-high 26 assists in the match.

Harris recorded eight kills in the Eagles’ win over Hueytown. Harris also posted five digs in the win.

Sherman contributed four kills and five digs in the match.
