Van Alan Boggan, age 55, a resident of Sterrett, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011. A memorial service was scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church in Chelsea. Rev. Tim Cox officiated.

Mr. Boggan is preceded in death by his parents, Byron Pickett Boggan and Carolyn Boggan; and two brothers, David Boggan and Sam Boggan. He is survived by his wife, Charlene Boggan; children, Joshua Boggan (Melyssa Boggan) and Sarah Boggan; and two brothers, cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
