The Montevallo High School volleyball team claimed a straight-set road win Oct. 3 over Jemison, downing the Panthers 25-15, 25-18, 25-13 to improve to 19-1 on the season with just one regular season match remaining on the schedule.

Mallory Anderson posted 22 kills and 22 digs to lead the Bulldogs.

Kathryn Ray dished out 24 assists. Sarah Hyde added five service aces and 10 digs. McKenna Anderson chipped in four service aces and 17 digs.

Montevallo will host the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 3A, Area 7 tournament on Monday, Oct. 10 at Susie DeMent Gymnasium.

Hale County and Northside will start the action at 5 p.m., with the winner facing the Bulldogs in the championship match immediately following. Admission is $6.
