The Thompson High School volleyball team defeated Calera 25-18, 24-26, 25-12, 25-23 in high school volleyball action Oct. 6.

Jade Douglas led the Warriors with 13 kills in the victory. Douglas also recorded seven digs.

Hailey Schatz posted 11 kills. Katie Guiser chipped in 10 kills. Kelsea Bivins finished with seven kills and three blocks in the match.

Kasie Holcomb contributed a team-high 13 digs. Lauren Richardson finished with five digs.

Sonia Acosta registered a team-high nine service aces and 39 assists in the match.

A’Kia Harris led Calera with nine kills in the match. Harris also recorded 11 digs.

Caitlin Ryan finished with eight kills and nine digs. Aubrie Smith led the Eagles with 16 digs. Amber Sherman contributed 15 digs.

Kellie Rasmussen registered two service aces and 13 digs to go along with a team-high 22 assists in the match.
