Garrison impressed as the Falcons went 2-1 during the week, averaging 12 assists and 2.58 digs per set.

Garrison began with 41 assists in only three sets in a win over West Alabama, while also collecting seven digs. She then had 47 assists and 16 digs in a conference win over UNC-Pembroke.

Garrison and the rest of the Falcons return to action Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 5 p.m. as they host USC-Aiken in the annual Dig Pink match.

The Falcons will begin selling Dig Pink t-shirts Oct. 11 in the cafeteria beginning at 11 a.m. The shirt features a pink Falcon logo on a light-blue shirt with a pink ribbon on the sleeve.

The team encourages all the fans to wear pink to the match on Wednesday.

Wednesday’s Dig Pink event will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama. Dig Pink is the name of the Breast Cancer awareness rally that takes place in gyms all over the country during Breast Cancer awareness month. High school and college volleyball teams from all over the nation are participating. The goal for this initiative is to raise funds to go towards research and “living with cancer” organizations.

The Falcons will be selling Dig Pink volleyball t-shirts for just $10 in the cafeteria and at the match. Also for sale at the match will be pink pom-poms, bracelets and baked goods.
