Phelps-Amacher

Jeff and Cheryl Phelps of Helena are proud to announce the marriage of their daughter, Courtney Phelps, to Greg Amacher of Mishawaka, Ind., son of Richard and Sue Amacher.

The wedding took place June 18, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Alabaster.

The bride is the granddaughter of James and Peggy Chatham and Jack and Rubye Phelps. She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

The groom is the grandson of Evan Huff and the late Lucille Huff and the late Clarence and Nellie Amacher. He earned a Bachelor of Science in business from Ball State University.

The maid of honor was Paige Phelps, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Nicole Hernandez, Ashley Tevebaugh, Laura Amacher and Amy Amacher.

The best man was Richard Amacher, father of the groom. Groom attendants were Dean Amacher, Ben Smith, Matt Schnaible, Matt Phelps, Tyler Phelps, Logan Phelps and Brody Sturm.

The bride’s flowers were coral roses, and the bridesmaids carried a bouquet of coral and white roses. The bridesmaids wore tea-length, coral, strapless, fitted A-line dresses. The bride wore an ivory, mermaid-style halter gown adorned with crystal and pearl-beaded ruching waistline.

The ceremony was officiated by Dr. James Chatham, uncle of the bride. The reception was held at Magnolia Springs Manor in Helena following the ceremony. The couple resides in Fultondale.
