Donald “Dinkum” Barnett, 76 of Montevallo passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Ann Barnett; daughters, Diane B. Roper (Grady), Knoxville, Tenn., Donna R. Serrano (Jorge), Montevallo; brother, Buddy Barnett, Chelsea; grandchildren, Robert Greg Roper (Regina), David E. Polk, Dana M. Serrano (Enrique), Devin M. Caldwell and Lupe Serrano; and one great-grandchild, Jose Serrano. Dinkum was a member of the Aldrich Assembly of God Church.

Visitation will be held from Rockco Funeral Home, Montevallo, Wednesday evening, Oct. 19, 2011, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be at Rockco’s Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jerry Phillips and Rev. Leon Glass officiating. Music will be provided by the Aldrich Assembly of God Choir with Donald Ray Bice as the soloist.
