Coosa Valley Academy won for the third time in its past four games Oct. 21 following a 60-16 win over visiting Ellwood Christian Academy.

Cody Wood completed 9-of-14 passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns in the victory.

Preston Parker finished with three receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown in the win. Steven Cryer finished with two receptions for 32 yards and returned a punt 21 yards for a touchdown.

Hunter Winslett reeled in a 22-yard reception for a touchdown and also scored on a 1-yard touchdown run. Myles Varner scored on a 2-yard plunge.

Cody Garrett added an 18-yard rushing touchdown. Matt Zettler finished with two carries for 28 yards and a touchdown.

Parker led the Rebels (3-6) with nine tackles. Winslett recorded eight tackles. Varner finished with seven tackles and Zettler registered six tackles.

Coosa Valley will close its season Oct. 28 at Crenshaw Christian Academy.
