Michael Wayne Fenley, 62, of Calera passed away on Friday, Oct. 21, 2011 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Thursday, Dec. 23, 1948 to the late Virgil C. and Sibbie Jane Fenley in Alabama. He is preceded in death by his sister, Martha Fenley, and brothers, Rodney Fenley, Jim Fenley and Wallace Fenley. He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Delta Plyler Fenley; his son, Ronnie Wayne Fenley (Felicia); his daughters, Jeanie

Shiver and Delta Joiner (Walker Whitehead); brothers, George, Tom, Gilbert, Johnny, Teddy, Clark and Greg Fenley; sisters, Carol Yellington and Ramona Penrose; and grandchildren, Keenan M. Shiver, Austin T. Fenley, Dallas C. Joiner, Adam L. Fenley, Shannon M. Joiner, Shane Lee Joiner, Taylor Gannon and Tiffany Fenley.

His visitation was at South Shelby Baptist Church in Calera on Monday, Oct. 24, 2011 from 7-8 p.m., and his funeral service was Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 11 a.m. Interment was at Shelby Memory Gardens with Brother Larry Parker and Brother Jack Spinks officiating. Charter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
