Ophelia Brasher, age 88, a resident of Shelby, died on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 24, 2011 at Shelby First Baptist Church with Bro. Howard Brasher and Bro. Joel Miller officiating. Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 24, 2011 from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Brasher Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Brasher is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Brasher. Mrs. Brasher is survived by her daughter, Nancy Farmer; son, Hylotte Brasher (Becky); sister, Jerline Scott; grandchildren, Sarah Brasher Kendrick (Chris), Virgil Brasher (Christy), Mark Farmer, Paul Farmer, Johnny Farmer and Donny Farmer; great-grandchildren, Christian Kendrick, Faith Kendrick, Nathan Brasher, Ella Brasher, Corey Farmer, Colbey Farmer, Colton Farmer, Kelsey Farmer, Kody Framer, Brenda Lapp, Josh Farmer, Kristin Kendrick Kervin and Kaley Kendrick Leslie; and numerous other family and friends.
