FROM STAFF REPORTS

The Alabaster Parks and Recreation Department will host its third-annual Fall Festival Oct. 29 at the Buck Creek Trail.

The free event will run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., and will feature more than 20 vendors, a trick or treat trail, food and inflatable games. The day will also feature live music and hayrides.

Because the event will fall a few days before Halloween, the city will also hold a contest at noon at the trail’s gazebo to determine who has the ugliest, cutest and most original costume.

According to the weather forecast, the day should be sunny with temperatures in the 60s.

The Buck Creek Trail is located behind the Alabaster Senior Center in Siluria. Patrons can park at Buck Creek Park, which is located at the northern end of the trail at 701 Sixth Ave. S.W.
