COLUMBIANA – Columbiana will honor the men and women of America’s armed forces Nov. 6 when it plays host to the Shelby County Veterans Day Ceremony and Tribute.

A remembrance program is scheduled for 3 p.m. on the Shelby County Courthouse lawn.

American Legion Post 131 Commander Eldon Erickson and Ret. U.S. Navy Admiral Clyde Marsh will present a history of the county’s War Memorial.

Local author Brannon Sirmon, who wrote the book “That’s War,” will also be at the free event co-hosted by the city and South Shelby Chamber of Commerce. Refreshments will be provided.

The Shelby County Courthouse is located at 112 N. Main Street.
