Rebels drop final game against Cougars

Coosa Valley Academy ended its season Oct. 28 with a 53-24 loss on the road at Crenshaw Christian Academy.

Cody Wood completed 17-of-39 passes for 262 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in the defeat. Wood also rushed for 28 yards on 12 carries.

Preston Parker finished with six receptions for 122 yards and a touchdown. Hunter Winslett caught four passes for 67 yards and a touchdown.

Tyler Hicks reeled in four receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown.

Myles Varner and Landon Floyd led the Rebels defensively with 12 tackles each. Matthew Zettler finished with nine tackles. Winslett and Parker registered seven tackles each.
