MONTEVALLO – Elementary students bounced on inflatables, tossed footballs and shivered while eating snow cones during Montevallo Elementary’s annual fall festival Oct. 28.

The school’s Parent-Teacher Organization sponsors the event each year, and this year was no exception.

“It’s a good way for the kids to relax and blow off some steam,” PTO President Alton Doyle said. “We’ve had over 300 people out this afternoon. It’s a good family event, and parents and other family members come.”

The festival was held on Montevallo High School’s football field. For $10, students received a wristband to play all of the games and enjoy a hot dog, chips and a drink.

The PTO’s next event will be the Santa Shop where students can purchase parents’ gifts for less than $10. Also, Santa Claus will come and visit each of the classes at Montevallo Elementary.
