Patricia G. Moore

Chelsea

Patricia G. Moore, age 59, a resident of Chelsea, died on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011.

She was the beloved daughter of Willis D. and Dana H. Moore Jr., also of Chelsea. Patricia graduated from Chelsea High School and received her degree from the Los Angeles School of Merchandising and Design. She lived most of her life in Kansas City and Los Angeles, where she pursued her career in fashion design. She designed for many companies. Patricia did a very fashionable line for Wal-Mart and the country singer, Tanya Tucker. She later established her own company, Prism Designs, and moved back to Birmingham. She did her own creations and sold them to local clothing stores. She also did some interior decorating and had her own blind and shutter business.

Patricia is survived by her only child, Davicia Gayle Morgan (Thomas), and her husband, Erik; her mother, Dana H. Moore; one brother, Michael W. Moore; nieces, Cayla Moore and Kelsey Moore; nephews, Keith Moore and Kyle Moore; and many cousins whom she was close to. She was a woman of her own, but her spirit was what made her Patricia. She was her daughter’s sunshine and will be sorely missed. Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Willis D. Moore Jr.; brother, Ronald L. Moore; and a sister, Teri Moore Breitinger.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church of Chelsea on Nov. 5, 2011. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m., one hour prior to the service.
