Dorville Blane Buff

Pelham

D.B. “Dob” Buff—born July 27, 1925 at his home in Section— went home to be with his Lord on Nov. 5, 2011. A longtime resident of Pelham’s Fungo Hollow, D.B. is survived by his wife of 61 years, Kathleen Buff; children, Regina Vanderneut (Glenn), Randy Buff (Mary Jo), Mark Buff and Doug Buff; sister, Judy Copeland of Mt. View, Ark.; and former daughters-in-law, Brenda Worthy and Roxanne Connor.

“Pappaw”/”Pappa” Buff has six grandchildren, Scott (Melissa), Joseph (Lindsey), Sam (Cindy), Josh Buff and Jeffrey Vanderneut. Pappaw Buff is now celebrating with his granddaughter, Rebekah “Bekah” Buff. Pappaw/Pappa will be dearly missed by nine great-grandchildren (with one more on the way).

D.B. and Kathleen have been longtime members of Chelsea Bible Church and have many friends, adopted children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in the faith. He was always ready with jokes and witty comments, a harmonica or a Bible verse for any occasion. The family will receive friends Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, from noon- 2 p.m. at Bolton Funeral Home in Calera. D.B.’s body will be laid to rest with a Graveside Service on Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera with Brother Nathan Ingram officiating and Bolton Funeral Home – Calera directing.

All celebrate this home-going, but ask that rather than “waste money on flowers,” Mr. Buff and family have stated that friends can support Believer’s Bridge Mission, PO Box 1233 Pelham, AL 35124.

This wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend will be missed by all, but his legacy of faith will continue for generations. Please write your online condolences at Boltonfuneralhome.com.
