Warriors top Cullman in tournament

The Thompson High School girls’ basketball team defeated Cullman 48-45 in a Veterans Day weekend tournament Nov. 11-12 at Homewood High School.

KaDeisha Stowes led the Warriors (2-2) with 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the floor. Stowes also grabbed nine rebounds in the victory.

Rachel Lawley finished with nine points and four rebounds. Janese Richardson posted seven points and six rebounds.

Sophie Cingoranelli added six points. Kiarra Petway finished with five points and eight rebounds. Katie Guiser contributed four points. Hannah Oglesby had two points and two rebounds. Victoria Taylor chipped in one point.

Thompson fell to Hayden 69-53 in the tournament Nov. 12

Stowes led the Warriors with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Kat Cingoranelli chipped in 11 points and six rebounds.

Ricahrdson finished with seven points. Lawley, Taylor and Sophie Cingoranelli finished with five points each. Abby Kreuser contributed four points and three rebounds. Oglesby chipped in three points.

The Warriors dropped their final game of the tournament Nov. 12 to Oneonta, 59-55.

Stowes and Lawley led Thompson with 12 points each. Stowes finished with five rebounds and a team-high six blocks.

Richardson finished with 10 points. Guiser chipped in eight points. Kat Cingoranelli added six points.
