The Hope Christian School boys’ basketball team defeated the Tuscaloosa Home Educators 62-40 in its season opener Nov. 14.

Pete Thomason led the Eagles (1-0) with 20 points on 8-of-16 field goals in the victory. Thomason also grabbed three rebounds and dished out six assists.

Brandon Fuller added 16 points and four steals. Cameron Costa finished with eight points and four rebounds. Seth Burnham chipped in six points and a team-high seven rebounds.

Immanuel Drew registered four points and three steals. Caleb Booker and Josh Wells finished with three points each. Benjamin Bunn finished with two points and five rebounds.
