The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for northeastern Shelby County until 10 a.m.

A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Greystone at 9:31 a.m.

The storm was moving northeast at 40 mph.

The National Weather Service cautioned anyone close by to take cover by moving to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.
