The Pelham High School girls’ basketball team edged Calera 38-36 in the opening game of the Panthers’ Thanksgiving tournament Nov. 19.

Erin Whitman led the Panthers with 18 points.

Sydney Days and Ashley Kate Kepler finished with seven points each.

Tyesha Haynes led Calera with 17 points.

A’Kia Harris added eight points. Taylor White finished with five points.
