Briarwood Christian tops John Carroll in tournament opener

The Briarwood Christian School girls’ basketball team defeated John Carroll Catholic 49-35 in the opening game of its Thanksgiving tournament Nov. 19.
Abbie Cutcliffe led the Lions (2-0) with 14 points in the victory.
Hannah Wainwright added 10 points.
