Alabaster

Aubrey Floyce Arnett, age 80, of Alabaster passed away Friday morning, Nov. 18, 2011. He was born April 8, 1931 in Straven, but lived most of his life in Alabaster. He graduated from Thompson High School in 1949 and was a past master of the Corinthian Lodge in Alabaster. He served in Korea with the U.S. Marine Corp from 1950 to 1954 and was honorably discharged as a sergeant.

Arnett

Aubrey was preceded in death by his parents, T.E. Arnett and Ludie Arnett; and two brothers, Alfred Arnett and Wayne Arnett. Survivors include Aubrey’s wife of 60 years, Ellen Jones Arnett; one daughter, Sharon Arnett Finch (Ken); one son, Michael R. Arnett (Sandra); four grandchildren, Kristy Cornelius (Jesse), Jason Arnett (Tiffany), Trey Finch (Magen) and Traci Finch; four great-grandchildren, William Cornelius, Adam Cornelius, Brady Cornelius and Evan Arnett; and four sisters, LaMerle Lantrip, Ola Mae Miranda, Reba Jo Sink and Donna Hardin.

Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Pelham. The funeral service was at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011 in Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham, with Rev. John Ray officiating. Burial followed in Elliottsville Cemetery.
