No children were injured Nov. 21 after a daycare school bus was involved in a wreck, according to Pelham Police Department Lt. David Rushton.

Police responded to the wreck a little after 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. 31 and Crosscreek Trail, Rushton said.

The wreck involved a school bus from La Petite Academy, which is on U.S. 31 between Pelham City Park and the Belle Vista mobile home park, and another passenger vehicle. Although no children were injured in the collision, the driver of the passenger vehicle was injured, he said.

The Pelham Police Department and the Pelham Fire Department responded to the wreck.

As of about 4:30 p.m., crews had cleared the wreck from the road. The cause of the wreck was still under investigation, Rushton said.
