The Briarwood Christian School girls’ basketball team defeated Sylacauga 68-28 in high school basketball action Dec. 6.

Hannah Wainwright led the Lions (4-1 overall, 1-0 in Class 5A, Area 7) with a game-high 27 points, including six 3-pointers, in the victory.

Cara Medders added 15 points in the win.

BOYS

The Briarwood Christian School boys’ basketball team fell to Sylacauga 50-35 in high school basketball action Dec. 6.

Raymond Woods led the Lions with 21 points in the loss.

Jason Laatsch added 10 points.
