The Coosa Valley Academy girls’ basketball team defeated Ellwood Christian 64-48 in high school basketball action Dec. 6.

Lauren Archer led the Rebels (4-2) with a game-high 32 points in the victory. Archer also grabbed a team-high 18 rebounds to finish with a double-double.

Kaylan Rich also recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 boards.

BOYS

The Coosa Valley Academy boys’ basketball team fell to Ellwood Christian 58-50 in high school basketball action Dec. 6.

Allen Logan led the Rebels with 15 points and four assists.

Steven Cryer chipped in 11 points. Austin Brayer finished with seven points and a team-high nine rebounds.
