We want to take this opportunity to share with you how the members of one of your area bands represented their school and town at the 2011 West Alabama Marching Band Festival in Gordo, Alabama on Oct. 29.

The Kingwood Christian Marching Lions Band, under the direction of Tyra Cutcher, participated in the 34th annual festival.

Everyone reading this should be made aware that these band members, director, staff members, and chaperones represented their school, community and families well in Gordo on this special day.

The West Alabama Marching Band Festival was proud to have Kingwood Christian participate this year and we truly hope the band intends to return next year.

Furthermore, we wish to commend the band’s wonderful display of talent, hard work and dedication. Everyone should be proud of these fine young people and their leaders.
