The Spain Park High School wrestling team defeated Hewitt-Trussville and Chelsea in a pair of matches Dec. 6.

The Jaguars defeated Hewitt-Trussville 44-34. Eight Spain Park wrestlers won individual matches against the Huskies.

Elijah Krukowski of Spain Park pinned Hunter Shoop of Hewitt-Trussville in 2:22 in the 106-pound match. Tommy Bostany of Spain Park pinned Hunter Russo of Hewitt-Trussville in 3:34 in the 120-pound match.

Connor Whatley of Spain Park pinned Ben Harrison of Hewitt-Trussville in 1:33 in the 138-pound match. Leon Strong of Spain Park pinned Alex Duldt of Hewitt-Trussville in 35 seconds in the 145-pound match.

Kevin McClure of Spain Park earned a 3-0 decision against Alex Denson of Hewitt-Trussville in the 160-pound match. Mo Mills of Spain Park earned a 15-0 technical fall decision over Braxton Busby of Hewitt-Trussville in the 220-pound match.

Marcus Jackson and Kameron Ricks of Spain Park each won matches by forfeit.

Spain Park defeated Chelsea 77-6. Thirteen Jaguars won individual matches against the Hornets.

Whatley earned a 12-3 major decision over Michael Waller of Chelsea in the 138-pound match. Strong pinned Austin Chadwick of Chelsea in 33 seconds in the 145-pound match.

McClure pinned Michael Early of Chelsea in 40 seconds in the 160-pound match. Dillon Osborne of Spain Park pinned Cody Garrard of Chelsea in 1:00 in the 170-pound match.

Blake Daniel of Spain Park earned a 17-1 technical fall over Zakary Van Der Geest of Chelsea in the 182-pound match. Martin Canales of Spain Park pinned David Downard of Chelsea in 1:23 in the heavyweight match.

Krukowski, Jackson Cotney, Bostany, Andres Galindo, Tommie Broadwater, Ricks and Mills each won matches by forfeit.

Chandler Wood of Chelsea recorded the lone points for the Hornets with his pin of Jackson in 3:36 in the 152-pound match.
