The Spain Park High School girls’ basketball team defeated Lee High School of Huntsville 79-30 in high school basketball action Dec. 15.

Ashley Gaston led the Jaguars with 21 points in the victory. Gaston finished 7-of-13 from the field, incuding 6-of-10 from beyond the arc.

Jessica Freeman added 15 points, four assists and four steals. Victoria Baldwin and Whitney Gulledge chipped in 10 points each. Baldwin grabbed nine rebounds, while Gulledge finished with four rebounds and four assists.

Takia Mickens contributed nine points and three steals. Kathryn Boswell and Jasmine Moore finished with five points each. Moore also grabbed nine rebounds.

Jasmine Hollis finished with four points and a team-high 20 rebounds.
