The Briarwood Christian School girls’ basketball team defeated Calera 60-34 in the Shelby County tournament quarterfinals Dec. 17.

Hannah Wainwright led the Lions with 17 points in the victory.

Abbie Cutcliffe added 16 points. Cara Medders chipped in 13 points.

Tyesha Haynes led Calera with 16 points. A’Kia Harris added 13 points.
