The Spain Park High School girls’ basketball team fell to Germantown (Tenn.) 49-45 in the Big Orange Classic tournament semifinals Dec. 21 at Hoover High School.

Ashley Gaston led the Jaguars (8-6) with 13 points. Gaston knocked down 4-of-9 attempts from 3-point range.

Whitney Gulledge, Jessica Freeman and Victoria Baldwin added 10 points each. Baldwin grabbed a team-high nine rebounds, while Freeman finished with seven boards.

Jasmine Hollis contributed two points and eight rebounds. Kathryn Boswell finished with two rebounds and three assists.

Spain Park will face Bessemer City in the consolation game Dec. 22 at 3 p.m.
