The Oak Mountain High School girls’ basketball team defeated Bullock County 54-41 in its opening game Dec. 27 in the Christmas tournament at Wetumpka High School.

Mackenzie Garmany led the Eagles (11-4) with 13 points in the victory.

Hannah Griffin and Madison Pierce chipped in 12 points each.
