The Coosa Valley Academy girls’ basketball team opened the Prattville Christian Academy Holiday tournament Dec. 26 with a 63-52 win over the host Panthers.

Lauren Archer led the Rebels (8-4) with 31 points in the victory. Archer, who also grabbed a team-high 19 rebounds, finished with five assists, two steals and one blocked shot in the win.

Amelia Ripley added 18 points to go along with eight rebounds, four assists and three steals. Kaylan Rich chipped in six points, seven rebounds, two blocked shots and one steal.

Amber Bassett contributed four points and nine boards. Samantha Baker and Terri Sprayberry finished with two points each. Baker grabbed five rebounds, while Sprayberry finished with four boards.
